Seven were dropouts in the matches of the first day of the US Open disputes, fourth and final Grand Slam of the season match on the fast surface. Gaël Monfils suffered a fall and was the one who gave up. Check out the video Monfils drop.
Seven waivers of the day which opens the main keys in the male and female in Flushing Meadows, six were in male key and only one in the female.
The first was to give the injured Taiwanese Yen-Hsun Lu lost when the Kazakh Mikhail Kukushkin 6-3 6/3 3/0. Lu asked medical care at the end of the second set, felt the wear and eventually gave up.
Shortly after came the Czech Radek Stepanek, who spent all season trying to recover from injury, broke the qualifier and had 6/0 2/6 6/4 3/2 against on the scoreboard for the Turkish Marsel Ilhan.
Shortly after, it was the turn of the German Florian Mayer withdraw from the race while facing the Slovak Martin Klizan and had 6/7 (5) 6/3 6/3 3/0 against on the scoreboard. Suffering in the last two seasons with injuries, Mayer stuck the quali felt the physical wear.
Also accusing physical, Pablo Andújar felt back pain and shoulder, asked service and abandoned the match against Teymuraz Gabashvili Russian when the score was 7/6 (6) 0/6 4/6 6/4 into Russian.
In the early evening round came the abandonment of single women's draw, played by the young Russian Vitalia Diatchenko, which lost 6/0 2/0 Serena Williams and later treated after the fifth game of the first set with ankle problems. Diatchenko, who has a history of injuries in the region and even operated the Achilles tendon at the beginning of this season, confirmed that injured the tendon during warm-up for the match against Serena.

Finally, the Alexandr Dolgopolov controlled the match against Australian Sam Groth in the third set, took the turn and gave up the game when the score was 4/6 6/1 7/5.
